Only Ralph Brust of La Glace, Alta., and Aaron Bartling of Edmonton remain undefeated after two draws in the Investors Group Mixed Provincial Curling Championship. All three local rinks recorded one loss each yesterday at the Calgary Winter Club.

Chris Schille beat Calgary Curling clubmate Ryan Keirstead 9-1 but then lost 7-2 to North Hill's Dean Ross.

Ross opened the day with a 7-5 loss to Brust, giving up the lead with a three-ender in the seventh.

Keirstead sits at 0-2, after losing 10-4 to Bartling in last night's late draw.

Brust continued to dominate with an 8-6 victory over Spruce Grove's Les Steuber last night. Brust got deuces in the fourth and fifth ends but caught a hair and gave up three in the eighth.

He recovered nicely in the ninth to hit for one and stole the winning deuce in the 10th when Steuber was light on a draw to the button.

Other scores yesterday were: Doug Zingel of Lloydminster 8 Jeff Ginter 3; Bartling 8 Zingel 8; Ginter 5 Steuber 4.

Draw 3 goes today at 10 a.m.
