Should the NHL make visors mandatory? Wed, October 26, 2011
Niklas Hagman knows his decision to not wear a visor is nonsensical.
Yet, the Calgary Flames winger keeps playing without the protection.
"I have no good reason not to. When I wear one, it doesn't bother me at all, but for some reason, I take it off," Hagman said Wednesday. "To be honest, I should have one. I've got two eyes and have two kids and want to see them. It would be the smart thing to do, so I don't know why I don't."
Why must there be a rule or a law for everything. If people are too stupid to wear a seatbelt of a visor that is there option. That's the problem with this country, always trying to control everything and everyone.

ya who cares what safety equipment workers wear? They should get to choose what they want and if they get hurt they should not be allowed to sue their employer for their injuries. Great attitude colossal, people like you set safety in the workplace back 100 years

Why not ask Shanahan what to do. He seems to know everything. Shanahan is a freaking Moron. His decisions of late infuriate the fans and one has to wonder if he is on drugs or some sort of medication. Seriously, we should be worried about his health, his actions are not normal.

The visor issue is like the seat belt law. If players don't realize the danger, then the NHL should make visors manditory!

Who cares? This safety question and others like it are not and should not be the Fans' concern. Do I care if they wear Jock Straps or Elbow Pads? I just watch the games as they play them. Let the players decide what equipment they need. It's up to the manufacturers to make safe equipment, and not the fans' concern.
