In a player poll released by CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada and the Players’ Association before Sunday’s all-star game at the RBC Center, 53% of over 300 players polled supported a move by the league back to Quebec City.

Asked what Canadian city deserves a franchise, Winnipeg was a distant second at 25%. A second team in Toronto was at 16% and Hamilton wasn’t on the map with only 5% of NHL players supporting a move there.

The players wouldn’t support getting rid of fight anytime soon. A whopping 98% maintained fighting shouldn’t be banned and 66% are for keeping the controversial instigator rule in place.

Winnepeg should be the city and the name of the team should be the WINNEPEG WARLOCKS. JUST THINK OF THE NUMBER OF LOGO'S FOR THE SWEATERS YOU WOULD HAVE TO CHOOSE FROM,AND ISN'T IT MAGICAL THAT THEY WOULD BE RETURNING TO WINNEPEG!!

why can't I easily find the NHL playoff standings on SLAM Sports? This is the time when the NHL teams are jockeying for playoff positions and along with the conference standings you should have an EASY-To-FIND playoff standings stat by now.

Winnipeg is ready and willing, as is Quebec. The issue that needs dealt with is Bettman. I rememeber when the Jets left Winnipeg, and I do not EVER remember Gary Bettman trying to keep them here as hard as he is to keep them in Arizona. The man is grasping at straws in an attempt to move (or keep) all of the teams south of the border. Its sad when you can ask people on the streets of Arizona or Atlanta about their team and they have no idea. The interest isn't there, the fans aren't there, and it seems the only person that wants them to stay there despite failing markets is King Bettman. He needs to be dethroned, and the sooner the better.

Reaction to the comment by Steve Buffery, saying that the hit on the Montreal Canadians foward Max Pac. is all politics. He works for QMI Agency whay he's doing is not politics my eye. He should play hockey and see what happens to good player like Crosbey,and other payers who get hit by goons like chara.
