Do u really care if they play in Phillie??!! The team is getting hosed by every club in baseball because Cito is not a major league manager; hitting guru yes. He is the main reson i do not watch this team play. FFFing boring , sitting around waiting for a 3 run hr. Cito has to go and anybody that has a thimble full of bb knowledge would have won at least 6 to 9 more games just by sac bunting alone. He makes me sick and i love baseball !! jerry park, exibition stadium, fenway park, sky dome , mets and yankee stadiums, baltimore but i would not go to another blue jays game with cito the statue running the team..!!

Does it really matter? I suppose it does to Rogers' pocketbook since, being the "home" team they'll likely make more off the games there than they would in Toronto! It seems baseball fans in the GTA have finally caught up to those in Montreal who realized years ago that being part of a league with no salary cap nor universal draft, and with free-spenders like the Yankees, Boston, Philadelphia and a couple of others cornering the market on any and all decent UFAs, they are starting to ask "why bother?"

I can't, for the life of me, understand those fans in places like Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Cincinnatti, etc. who still come out to the their home games knowing beyond doubt that they have no chance at all of ever winning anything again. Right out of Spring Training. And even if, say, a Tampa Bay manages to patiently put together a team of good young talent through the draft, and perhaps go all the way one year - that'll be it because as soon as those good young players reach UFA status, they're looking for bucks a lot larger than teams like Tampa can - or are willing - to pay.

Baseball has become a frikken joke.

mebbe we should share like our brothers in Buffalo with the Bills...they have a nice park that would be packed for the series, and close enuff that the few who actually go to the games in T.O. might make the drive. Win Win for all...no playing in Philly, and we still get the chance to see Doc again. *sniff*
