Your reaction to Tiger Woods' return?
Tue, March 16, 2010

DOUG FERGUSON, THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Tiger Woods will return to golf at the Masters in April.

In a statement, Woods said he will play at Augusta National after a four-month hiatus because of a sex scandal.

The Masters begins on April 8.

Woods says that while he's returning to competition, he still has a lot of work to do in this personal life.

He last played Nov. 15 when he won the Australian Masters. Less than two weeks later, he crashed his car into a tree outside his Florida home, setting off revelations that he had been cheating on his wife.

What's your opinion on Woods' return? Have your say in our forum.

The Masters is the one tournament where they only show the leaders. So to all the people who think it will be all Tiger all the time, then you had better hope he's contending.Otherwise he'll be an also ran like Mike Weir,Stephen Ames and the rest.

Overexposed is an understatement, Woods and Williams should just stay away. Woods hasn't known reality for over 30 years and Williams is so far up Woods' @$$ the other caddies can't find him.

Golf is a game of respect, etiquette, ethics and morals. Tiger is now the top example of how the US college system is destroying the concept of sportsmanship, breeding a generation of playboy brats who care only about winning and led to believe that great scores make great men. Winners get the prizes and can therefore do whatever they want. More respect should be given to the Agusta National golf club and other players who will be subjected to his media circus than to his personal quest to win 19+ majors.

Tiger's not the only one on tour who scores well off the course on a regular basis, that's not the problem. A Married man however has made a public and serious commitment to stay faithful, someone who breaks that promise (dozens of times) to someone he loves should not be respected. The average married man (or pro golfer for that matter) manages to juggle work, fun and commitment to family just fine. Only the worst decide to ruin their families chasing cheap women. Want to be great? Try just being average first.

Big deal.

The guy not only cheated on his wife but also the PGA and the public.

Sure, let's all make a big fuss over the "chosen one" and welcome him back with tears and open arms and hey, if his game goes in the tank he can always make a video with Paris Hilton and once again be the apple of our eyes.

I reall couldn't care if mister big ever come back to play. It seems when he played he was the only one they would put the camera on. Go have another thirst Tiger we don't need you on the links.

The guys a loser, Cheats ,lies, sneaks, around has no morals. I am not interested in his sport anymore, I will not support and sponsor who uses him. Let him play his game but don't expect me to be watching. The shine is gone, and the personality was just made up by his agent .

Who gives a crap, he is grossly overpaid and arrogant as they come and while he is a good golfer his morals far outlack his talent. His caddy is cut from the same cloth, arrogant and egotistical and I think both of them have forgotten that this is a gentlemans sport and that they should act as such. I am not sure about the rest of the golf world but I do not recall Arnold Palmer behaving in the same way as Tiger has nor any other golfer for that matter and so I am a little miffed as to why the general public holds him in such high regard. Typical Americans though, blast him one day and then treat him as a hero the next. The other question that needs to be asked is why he is still ranked as # 1 in the world. What about all the other worthy golers who have put it all on the line and have sacrificed everything only to be overshawdoed by a sex-crazed idiot who has no regard for his own family. Tiger is tyical of someone who got caught with his pants down and now his only defence is to reclaim his faith and return to his Buddist faith. If he was so concerned about his faith he would have never strayed to the point that he did. Obviously he did not take his faith seriosuly nor his marriage so I am not sure why we as the general public who help pay is wages should take him seriously. The long and short of it all is that he is a very poor role model and both he and his caddy should leave the tour and allow other who are serious about the tour and their fans strive to be the best they can and tell Tiger to hit the road. Obviously te sponsors who canceled their commottemtns to him believe that he is not the role model they originally signed up for so why should tyhe PGA waste their time in promoting this malcontent. I for one hope he never wins another tourney and what Tiger does not realize is that Elin has him right where she wants him and that is right by the short and curlies. I hope she takes him to the cleaners.

I'm for Tiger & his wife coming out of this (in time)much better people. It makes no sense to me to apologize to a sex crazed society for your sexual sins. As King David prayed "Lord against you only have I sinned". This is an issue between Tiger and God. As for his wife look at the many pictures of her; she was never abashed about stirring up lust in other men. They both need to 'search and try their ways'

Tiger is a jerk, he plays better games out of the limelight than in it. He lies to the public, to his fans and to his family - why would we welcome him back. I am sure he will return and win some tournaments, the announcers, media, and writers will all be excited because they have a icon again.

What does the guy who goes to work, comes home to have a beer and play with his kids have in common with this spoiled jerk - nothing so who realy cares about him.

He has a lot to prove to everyone who realy matters, I doubt that is one thing he will ever win.

The game is much better without him, stay away Tiger keep taking your phony sex treatments.
