Are you proud of the Canadian junior team?
Tue, January 5, 2010

By TERRY JONES, QMI AGENCY

This was just wrong. So wrong.

Great Canadian hockey stories end up with Canada winning 6-5, not losing.

And great Canadian junior hockey stories end up with Jordan Eberle the hero.

But the ending didn't fit the script.

What are your thoughts on Canada's junior team following their overtime loss to the U.S. at the World Junior Hockey Championship? Have your say in our forum.

Ending didn't fit script

I think Canada did well, but the better team did win(as hard as that is to admit),the American coaching staff and players deserve alot of credit.Canadian gold in Buffalo!

The country is proud of this team and those who aren't, well I can't believe you are truly Canadian! They represented everything Canadians should strive for, helping each other out, and going for it even when it seems like it may be impossible, as proven in the last 4 minutes of the game.

Congratulations boys!

The better team won, unfortunately. My biggest question is on some of the kids who barely played. Thinking specifically of Cowen and Henrique. A few others possibly too, but why take a couple of guys if they can't, or will not, play when it matters? I'm sure some of the cuts would have done just as well.

It was bound to happen. How many of the American Team trained in the OHL. Nobody wins for ever and Canada should be proud of her boys.

Too many defensive miscues led to U.S. goals. But you know what? Five gold medal finishes in a row not to mention the most gold medals won by any country ain't bad at all. I'll take silver over no medal any day.

Heart breaking yes...but totally proud of the team and coaching staff. Canada will just have to get the next gold on American soil. Go CANADA!!!

Hold you head up high guys. You are the better team. Overtime loss means nothing it can go either way. You made watching this another great and dramatic time again.

Congradulations guys.

An overconfident overrated canadian team with VERY shoddy goaltending was outplayed for much of the game by a far better US squad.Olympic preview maybe???

These teams were evenly matched. The Americans had a really fast team and gave Canada everything they could handle.

The game could have gone either way. But I can't remember the last time Canada's goaltending has been that bad in a big game.

easily the best team there but...poor goaltending and a very poor coach cost them
