What are your thoughts on Tiger Woods?
Wed, December 2, 2009

Tiger Woods says he has let his family down and regrets "those transgressions with all of my heart."

In a statement Wednesday on his website, Woods says he has not been "true to my values and the behaviour my family deserves." He offered his "profound apology" to his supporters.

In his statement, Woods did not offer details of any alleged relationship.

He also said he has been "dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means."

What are your thoughts on Woods' alleged extra-marital relationships? Have your say in our forum.

I'm surprised he didn't blame his "transgressions" on a photographer snapping a picture while he was concentrating, like he has with so many errant tee shots!

Is this the best the media can do. The man is human just because he has money and is famous you jump all over him. He is no different than anybody else he is human. Start reporting on real news and leave the celebs alone, do some real reporting.

Would the press please leave Tiger and his familly deal with this situation and stop being so ignorant. The press is very happy as long as they have dirt to dig and destroy people life.

Althought I love playing golf, Tiger Woods is a loser. Why I say that? cause he trashed Hockey saying "oh, nobody really watches that sport". Well, us Canadians do and obviously enough people in the states since most of the teams ARE American. It takes more skill to skate, deek and shoot then it does golf. What a goof.

A personal life mistake. Some say that is his business. Well, when he chose to become famous he gave up the personal life. Just the way it is. Was never fond of him and his antics anyway. Plenty of talent but not a Jack (Golden Bear) Nicklaus. He should have been jacked up a long time ago for his antics on the golf course and then he may not have got into this situation. MAYBE!

When your father (i.e. Earl in this case)convinces you, from an early age, that you will someday stand next to God, that has to affect you. Earl said a long time ago that Tiger would be bigger than Ghandi, etc. - this may now be the case but it's one thing to live your life and become a figure like Ghandi vs. being told your destiny before you've done anything substantial.

I believe that Tiger believes he's above any of the normal failings of inferior humans (i.e. the rest of the planet in his mind) and that all of the moral codes and other rules don't apply to him. I'm sure he thinks that his biggest problem is the fact that he got caught.

As far as Tiger's sponsors (i.e. Nike, Gillette, etc.) coming out in support of him - they're praying that this episode won't affect profits. Corporate Greed = Checking your morals at the door and supporting someone who has commited despicable acts.

Let me say though that Tiger is human and hopefully he becomes a better person as a result of this experience.

So he is human even he can make mistakes

Well I can't see NIKE and AT&T keeping Tiger as a major spokesman... their slogans such as JUST DO IT will be smeared and for a very long time be ridiculed; and see what people do with mock phone call messages involving an AT&T commercial or product...might be fun for most of society, but these big conglomerate will not see it as such..unfortunately for them if they pull the plug now they will be scolded, they will ahve to wait until a little while (weeks or months) when this whole mess snowballs and see their name ridiculed... these companies would rather score par than be given penalty strokes

The media should be giving as much or more attention to Darfor, the real news to wake our government up in the world! Not Tiger Wood's affairs... This should be a notice in the sports section only. Now let me deal with his problems & move on to more important issues
