A massive player revolt against Blue Jay manager Cito Gaston threatens to boil over, with players expected to ask interim president Paul Beeston not to bring Gaston back next season.
There have been a number of indications recently that dissatisfaction was growing within the clubhouse with Gaston's old-school approach.
This controversy comes at an awkward time for the Blue Jays, who are expected to name a new president soon. Presumably, that new president will address both the general manager’s position as well as the field manager’s position as one of his first duties.
What do you think will happen to Cito Gaston? Have your say in our forum.
I was very excited last season when Cito came back and the Jays started to play well, but it appears the new Manager Honeymoon is over. I too question man moves this season. Why is Millar playing? Why isn't Ruiz playing more? Why was Camp left in that game in Boston too long? Sorry Cito, Love you Man but I think it's time for a change. Need someone who can work with this young team.

Imagine that. The players and certain members of the Blue Jays management, (although I do question the term management particular when it comes to J. P. Ricciardi) are complaining about Cito Gaston. They are talking about the manager who has won back to back World Series. So what has the current collection of Blue Jays won? With the exception of Doc, who can be named a Winner? Or, are they merely Whiners. A Blue Jays fan missing the old glory days.
