Ummm, Mach01, why would Maurice throw it back in the face of the Leafs if the Caps win? He coaches the Hurricanes.
The Hawks are clearly everyone's sentimental favourites, but until Detroit eliminates Anaheim I'm sticking with my original prediction that the Ducks will win it (I'd hate to see it, mind you, but they do have the necessary experience and young talent).
If, however, Detroit does dump them, then it would be hard to go against a repeat win by the Wings.

I'm thinking it could be two teams that didn't make the playoffs last year. Anaheim and Carolina both have the experience of winning the cup and something to prove from their poor showings since. Boston may look flashy but they are a team that plays great with a lead and their game falls apart a bit when they trail and have to open up. Score first against them and the whole dynamic changes. Anaheim is riding a rookie goalie and if he falters, their backup is probably a better option than anything the Wings can put in net.
I'm picking Anaheim to win simply because they beat the Sharks, who I though were ready this time around.
