Who should play for Canada at the 2010 Olympics? Fri, October 17, 2008
With only a few months to go before the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Steve Yzerman and his team are bringing Canada's best hockey players together for an orientation camp in Calgary.
SLAM! has told you who is a lock to make the team, who is on the bubble and who is out of the running. But who would you select to represent Canada in Vancouver?
We have so much depth. It's hard to pick who the best 22 players are. It's a matter of chemistry and getting the right players.
Personally, I'd like to see veterans Shane Doan, Joe Sakic, and Scott Niedermayer return and be named captains of the team.

This may sound crazy, but I really would like to see Sakic on the team. I believe as a native of B.C. this is the number one reason he is still playing...Certainly he wouldn't be one of the top line guys, but I think he can still add something and I think the players would want to win for him.

Joe Sakic

Vermette, good God man,you must be a Senaturds fan their are 50 guys better than that boy.

I think Vermette should be added to this list... Canada likes to take penalties.. Vermette can score short handed goals.. Thank-you

good players who perform and aren't in it for the wrong reasons. Also, players who unlike Hashek in 2006, will return to the NHL and not fake injuries cause they don't like their salary!
