Since Stajan is on the 4th line all but done here, and the blueline is crowded. How about Van Ryn and Stajan to the OIlers for scremp and a 2nd pick , or Stortini. Would be usefull for both clubs. Would keep us more exciting and tougher to play against , but with out immediate fear of losing out on our top 5 draft pick. And Staj and Van play the Oilers style of game. Heck we have Gravski may as well get Schremp as well and test him too

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA,Ican't stop laffing the Laffs are a bigger joke than ever.

This leafs team isn't as bad as some people think. Of course most of Torontoians are mentally ill thinking you know better when you don't.

Need proof? For the longest time you have said Mats Sundin sucks and now that he is gone most of you would welcome him back with open arms and a no trade clause.

I loev the leafs and it's about time the rebuilding begins. Now how to turn you mentally lack fans in the heart of Toronto into actual knowledgable fans is something that needs a look at.

I agree with John that we need to give them a chance, don't bury them like the media is doing before they play their first game. The team this year is sort of like sending your kid off to school for the first time,it will take time for them to adjust and get used to their new mates, and will need us there to support them through the rough times ahead.

The Leafs built the wrong team! With no superstars, they could have built a Buffalo Sabres type Ted Nolan team:

Rob Ray, Brad May, and Matthew Barnaby, and clobbered the entire NHL.

At least they'd be some entertainment - No.

The could have put together a team of Bill Barbers, a team of first class divers. At least they'd always be on the power play. But no!

They could have spent all their money on a superstar goalkeeper and watch him stand on his head. Like they did when Grant Fuhr was in TO.

But alas, no! Just a bunch of young bucks, wet behind the ears, scared of the boards, two steps behind the opponent, and ripe as a tomato for a good pummeling.

It's gonna be a long season.

Gary i agree with what you say but the bottom line is that is where we are. What annoys me is the folks who want it all tomorrow and cant accept that it will take time and some lousy score lines to turn this around.

I just want folks to give them a chance before burying them. At least let them play a few games.

Poor analogy John. In baseball there's no cap so, if a team like Tampa decides to spend to augment some of their good young players there's no limit as to what they can fork over.

Unfortunately, in hockey you can no longer do that.

As for "dumping" Sundin, I assume you mean quit waiting around for him to make up his mind. It isn't a question of "dumping" since they no longer hold his rights. He's an unrestricted free agent who can pick and choose where (and when) he wants to play.

Hustle will indeed be a welcome sight to fans and, here and there, it will result in upsets. But I don't think they (or anyone else for that matter)_ can do that over 82 games.

Where the Leafs are concerned, unlike teams with plenty of natural talent who go into a funk but can play their way out of it, a long losing streak will sap any desire to hustle for some among them. And that, combined with the inevitable injuries, will ultimately kill them.

You folks are a joke. Last season you were all for the need to change and now you expect n instant fix.

Take a look at Tampa in the baseball. From worst to first in one year. We may not do that but i would rather see a bunch of guys trying there best than the bunch we had last year.

And as for Sundin we should dump him asap. He is just hanging on to see who will take him as a hired gun to win a Stanley cup. He should just be honest as we don't need a player after Xmas we need one now and to entertain him any longer sens the wrong message to the new players.

I wish them all the best and if they try hard in every game they will have my support.
