Who should quarterback the Patriots? Mon, September 8, 2008
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, the NFL's reigning MVP and one of the most consistent starters in league history, was scheduled for an MRI on Monday amid reports that he sustained a season-ending injury to his left knee.
Brady, whose streak of 128 straight starts is the third-longest ever, left Sunday's game against Kansas City after he was hit by Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard in the first quarter of New England's 17-10 victory.
Backup Matt Cassel said Monday he was ready to fill in for Brady next week against the New York Jets - and longer, if necessary.
Cassel could have some competition: A person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press that former Tampa Bay quarterback Chris Simms was heading to Foxborough on Monday for a physical, and reports elsewhere said Tim Rattay was also being considered.
Who do you think should quarterback the Patriots if Brady is out for the season? Have your say in our forum.
Better be a great quaterback cause Brady is one of the Best Quatrebacks to date and Patroit fans know this.
Their successful season this year rides on this dicission. Were not expecting a perfect season minus the Superbowl loss but a good season none the less. So whom ever the quatreback is better understand what the Patorits team means to its fans.
Anyone but Doug Flutie. I'm tired of Flutie Flakes.

The Patriots are wasting their time going after never-was QBs like Chris Simms and Tim Rattay. If they had any sense they would be going after recently retired QB Daunte Culpepper who already has had great success with Randy Moss...
