As the former Blue Bomber kicker who inspired the name 'The Banjo Bowl', does Troy Westwood go too far in his attempts to goad Saskatchewan fans?

Could you smell that this morning? It was coming in from the West. Just about made me puke. Some kind of bizarre mixture of dirty old socks and pickle juice. Used to think only my Aunt Fay smelled like that.

Turns out my beautiful Aunt Fay, she has five of her own teeth, was just one of the many of the tens of thousands in Saskabush to carry that scent with them. They are known as the Rider Nation, and they smell like dirty old socks and pickle juice.

Living in Manitoba, I am fairly confident that there are writers here who could take a jab at Saskatchewan that would actually be funny. As others have said, it is a desperate plea. If the Editor actually reviewed this first, it is a sad day for this (news?)paper.

He didn't cross the line, he crossed it years ago. He is classless, always was classless and always will be classless. As for the Sun printing the article, makes you wonder if they are so desperate for sporting news they printed it as there is not much good to print about the Bombers. Troy take your Sour Grapes make it into pickle juice and stay out of Saskatchewan.

Once again Troy proves that he's an embarrassment. He's an embarrassment to himself, the Bombers (both as a player and ex-player) and now he's an embarrassment for a paper that has enough trouble with credibility without giving this guy ink.

Westwood's obviously pulling at any straw possible to stay in the limelight. Hard to imagine any kind of reputable media outlet would allow this self-serving drivel.
