The world's most expensive hockey rental player, the subject of one of the sorriest "national" sports soap operas of all time, is going to be a major event here tonight, a feature photo-op of this entire NHL season.
Mats Sundin, after practice in Vancouver, gave himself the green light, boarded the flight and arrived here yesterday with the Canucks preparing to play in tonight's tilt against the Edmonton Oilers.

It makes one want to vomit the way NHL teams allow themselves to get dragged around by the nose by these guys....sundun,forsberg,selanne for example, and then sign them up for vast fortunes for 15 0r 20 games.

Where have we seen this before by a Swede? (Peter Forsberg). Mats Sundin and other free agents who pull off this caper are nothing more than selfish, egotistical, over the hill, prima donna. NOT a team player. The League (NHL) should legislate a rule of an October 31 as the deadline to returning free agents from playing again that season.

I am not sure I understand the bitterness by "FANS". It should be Sundin who feels betrayed. Didn't this city try and treat him like a commodity and trade him away? Go figure the nerve of the guy not wanting to be a piece of meat!
