The opening game of the NHL's Western Conference final was no contest.
The Detroit Red Wings continued to roll, winning their seventh straight game, in ripping the Dallas Stars 4-1 Thursday night.
As if they didn't already have enough offensive weapons, the Wings turned what had been an ordinary power play thus far in the post-season into a three-goal flame thrower.

Can anyone stop the Red Wings this year?
Just 1 lil problem with you giving the dead things the cup already lol. They are playing a team that plays defence and traps and tries to wait out there opponent to make a mistake and then score on a turn over. The Pens are deeper and have alot more talent that the Stars do. The Pens have 4 lines that match up with the dead things evenly I think.
Its hardly a lock for the dead things, if you think it is I wish I could make a bet with you LOL.
As for Datsyuk and Zetterberg being better than Crosby and Malkin, well we will see next round lol.

The Wings make two passes and the puck is already moving full speed into the offensive zone.
I watch Zetterberg and Datsyuk and wonder if they are not the two most feared players coming towards you.
I dont put Crosby and Malkin in their league. Not even close. They are making a mockery of whoever they seem to be playing.
Give em the Cup and lets reset the bar to the Detroit level and see who can adjust their skill level to match...

Its idiots like you that have ruined society. Hey wait..here's a truly 'Merican idea that fits right in with Bettman's NHL...if your team is not good enough to win the cup...take the NHL to court to have your name put on it anyway.

I did watch some of the Philly-Pittsburgh game last night and that was pretty good compared to the Detroit-Dallas game I saw a bit of.
Dallas needs to pound Detroit into the boards - they aren't. There's little hitting in the series and from what I saw, that made for a very boring game.
With all the Canadian teams out, I don't think the ratings will be as high as normal.
