On one hand, Ron Wilson said he respects Sundin for not rushing back if he is unsure whether or not he wants to play -- adding that he would welcome back the longtime Leafs captain with open arms.
On the other hand, Wilson suggested that one of the problems with the sad-sack Leafs last year was a distinct lack of leadership.
And you don't have to be Howie Meeker to connect the dots there, that leadership is supposed to be one of the major responsibilities of the team captain.
Is Wilson right about the Leafs recent poor form?
Full story: Wilson suggests Mats was part of the problem
Do us a favor put a rookie line together and give them a nick name and RUN with it.
Keep Sudin he's heart is a Leaf , MATT's has proved that.
P.S GO FOR THE GOLD...

Personally I think that everyone attending a Leaf's game should be given a rabies shot or something. With all that foaming at the mouth about the Leafs having a chance each year, there's got to be something chemically wrong with the fan base. In a few years they might innoculate them all and maybe they'll settle down a bit and develop more realistic expectations.

Unless you cheer for a American based team.

Also, I'm not sure you you brilliantly deduced that the Leafs are "my team" when I said nothing to indicate that. Truth be know, the Leafs are my least favorite team in the league.

Cliff Fletcher will be the GM until Brian Burke becomes a realistic option and the team can't even be honest enough with their fans to admit it.
All this BS from the Leafs is further evidence that they care not about the fans. Why lie to the people supporting your team unless you are taking them for granted? This dishonesty is yet another reason to despise this perpetual loser of a team.

The Montreal Canadiens were saved by an American.
BTW, Maurice won a Stanley Cup, which is more than Ron Wilson can put on his resume.
