Is Ron Wilson right about Sundin? Thu, September 4, 2008
On one hand, Ron Wilson said he respects Sundin for not rushing back if he is unsure whether or not he wants to play -- adding that he would welcome back the longtime Leafs captain with open arms.
On the other hand, Wilson suggested that one of the problems with the sad-sack Leafs last year was a distinct lack of leadership.
And you don't have to be Howie Meeker to connect the dots there, that leadership is supposed to be one of the major responsibilities of the team captain.
I love how they let JFJ hang around for far too long, saying that he was a poor choice for GM, saying that they were going to hire Bowman to hold watch over him, and letting the team spiral downward and now when Maurice hopefully has a chance to coach under actual leadership from above they turf him so quickly. Owners are clearly out to lunch and have no clue how to handle this organization. Its become a joke. I didn't care much for JFJ, but how they handled his tenure was also embarrassing - he didn't desrve that either. To say those things about him publicly and not have the decency to just fire him was really in bad taste and reflected how little peddie and compnay know when it comes to running the premier sports organization in North America

Get Pat Quinn back

Leafs need some toughness and discipline and get rid of the country club atmosphere. Pat Burns is the ideal person for the job.

Tie Domi.
Mats Sundin, 2008-05-07 12:10:26
Hey my supervisor and manager got fired too, is there a pattern I sense. Anyways how about a minor league timbits coach or a big bag of pucks.

I agree with the comment of "let things just play out" it's time to take time,Cliffy's still there, not to worry....

Don Cherry with Dougie Gilmour as assistant. Let's see if grapes knows half as much as he thinks he does. Maybe turn a 'new' leaf'.

No GM in place, and now they fire Paul Maurice. I think the writing was on the wall.
Who should coach the Leafs...how about Krusty the Clown. He would fit in well with Richard Peddie..head clown of MLSE.

See if Fred Flintstone is available. He would fit right in with the Leafs Yabba-daba-doo organization!
