Is Ron Wilson right about Sundin? Thu, September 4, 2008
On one hand, Ron Wilson said he respects Sundin for not rushing back if he is unsure whether or not he wants to play -- adding that he would welcome back the longtime Leafs captain with open arms.
On the other hand, Wilson suggested that one of the problems with the sad-sack Leafs last year was a distinct lack of leadership.
And you don't have to be Howie Meeker to connect the dots there, that leadership is supposed to be one of the major responsibilities of the team captain.
I'm kinda tired waiting to see what the Teachers fund will allow? Untile they are not involved Leafs won't win! Please don't grab Nonis from the Canucks! Tambelini or Yzerman would do just as well or better perhaps (if allowed to)

As long as the leafs continue to sell out all tickets whether they win or lose nothing will change. If revenues drop however, then management will start to pay for some quality players like the Jays did when they won the world series. Until then hire Homer Simpson. Doh!

No brainer, Pat Burns!

Gary Roberts is the guy. A winner an icon. He'd bring a badly needed culture with him. Look how the kids in Pitt respond to his leadership. Then, we could sign Malone as a free agent!

The Leafs are rebuilding. They need a teaching coach for their young up and comers.

Such jealously from alot of people here.
I bet most of them are the bandwagon Habs fans too, bitter and upset a team they started to watch in Feburary is out of the playoffs.
People keep saying the Leafs are old, but that is clearly not true. Detroit IS old.
The Leafs have quite a bit of young talent, that started to play this year.
For those that look at draft choices, you do realize great players aren't always drafted in the top 10, OR top 30?
• Mark Messier, C/W, Edmonton, 1979, (48th overall)
• Patrick Roy, G, Montreal, 1984, (51st overall)
Brett Hull, RW, Calgary, 1984, (117th overall)
• Luc Robitaille, LW, Los Angeles, 1984, (171st overall)
Just b/c they aren't top 10, doesn't mean they won't shine.

good move mo's record speaks for itself one winning team in ten years as a coach in the nhl.this team needs a new start from top to bottom.Foget about wether or not he is a nice guy did he make his team better then the sum of its parts NO . ANY ONE WHO DOESN'T PERFORM NEEDS TO GO.A CULTURE THAT REWARDS WINNERS NEEDS TO BE CREATED NOT ONE THAT LOOKS AFTER GOOD GUYS OR OLD VETERNS .
