On one hand, Ron Wilson said he respects Sundin for not rushing back if he is unsure whether or not he wants to play -- adding that he would welcome back the longtime Leafs captain with open arms.
On the other hand, Wilson suggested that one of the problems with the sad-sack Leafs last year was a distinct lack of leadership.
And you don't have to be Howie Meeker to connect the dots there, that leadership is supposed to be one of the major responsibilities of the team captain.
Is Wilson right about the Leafs recent poor form?
Full story: Wilson suggests Mats was part of the problem
malkin took games 3 and 4 off when pittsburgh played in philly. Crosby hasnt taken any game off. as for crosby whining, he takes alot of cheap shots so he has a right to complain.
I guess it was ok when gretz cried like a baby eh pete cuz he played for the oilers lol.
your daddy is filling your empty head with alot of crap kid lol.

Spezza is as soft as Sundin is although Spezza had 92 or 93 points, Sundin had 70 something. We all know how tough Mats is, only time he goes in the corners is when there is already somebody in there from the opposing team lol. He is never the first player in a corner.
Heatley isnt soft. He goes in the corners and the front of the net. He takes hits to make plays something no Leaf does. I guess he scored 50 goals from standing in front of his bench shooting into empty nets lol.
What a future the Leafs have with Stajan and Steen leading the way. Cup winners in a few years for sure lol.
Leafs are nothing but a minor league team in NHL sweaters. Its doubtful they will make the playoffs in the next 5 years at least.
So keep cheering for a losing team that the owners couldnt care unless about as long as the money keeps pouring in like the Ballard era.

But we all know that many Sens fans, will deny this.
When Heatly plays better in an international tourny, that the STANLEY CUP playoffs, you know something is wrong.

How could we ever live without him?
DisgruntledFan, 2008-05-19 17:15:41
The Sens need a few players yes but 22 ? get real. They still have a good team and if they can trade for a goalie, top 4 defenceman and a forward or 2 in the summer they will battle the habs for first place.
the laffs are the team that needs 22 players. they have squat for talent. a good goalie and thats about it lol. if sundin doesnt comeback and thats a strong possibilty who is the number 1 centre, matt stajan ? lmfao. he goes from a number 3 centre to number 1 ? only in leaf land would that happen lmao.
