A recent poll indicates that 40% of Canadians polled consider the Montreal Canadians "Canada's Team".
That's compared to just 24% for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who were considered tops a year ago.
What do you think? Who is really Canada's team? Have your say!
make me laff fans must be brain dead to continue to support such a lousy hockey team.
I guess after watching the playoffs and how good teams play you still cant see how bad your old, slow and talentless the laffs truly are.
laffs chip it out of there end, dump it in the other teams end lol, good teams still playing in the playoffs make 2 or 3 passes and they are in the other teams end. I guess thats expecting to much from the make me laffs to make a few quick passes to get the puck out of there end instead of always chipping it out off the glass lol.

Of course, a lot of people are going to pick Montreal when they're in the playoffs.
I don't think loyalties really change in one year - unless you are not a real fan.

The fans there are not afraid to call their team on poor play and to expect more, while recognizing when they aren't. Fair and balanced. Then the success they've had at Canada's game should count for something.
The only downside to them being Canada's Team is that they are actually owned by an American. Stupid move by Molson to sell them and is the reason why I won't buy Molson products anymore. But hey, I'd rather cheer for a team owned by a Yank who tries to put a good product on the ice than the Teacher's Union who don't seem to care. All they want is to fill the seats. And the Leafs actually hurt hockey in Canada by maintaining their monopoly over the biggest hockey market in the country. Until they allow another team in Hamilton or even TO the Leafs won't improve

It's narrowed down to five choices in my mind. Toronto (hockey capital of the WORLD, commonly stated fact), Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver, or Edmonton.
