Can Canada win the World Championship? Mon, May 12, 2008
Canada overcame its first true challenge at the IIHF World Hockey Championship but had some worrisome flaws exposed in the process.
Dany Heatley's second goal of the game with 46.8 seconds left in the third period lifted Canada to a 5-4 victory over the U.S. He one-timed a Rick Nash pass over the glove of Craig Anderson while falling to the ice for his tournament-leading sixth goal.
Is Canada good enough to win the World Championship?

Bobby Burke,
Let me take a wild guess, you are american ? Come in here and slam Canadian hockey and say we intend to kill with hard hits and then say the Russians are the best and have been since the 1950's is laughable.
Two things, 1) ever heard of a dictionary ? 2) ever proof read your work ?

Bobby,
Canadians hit to kill ? They play hard and hit hard but to say they hit to kill is insane. You arent being forced to watch if you think hockey is to violent, you can always channel surf.

What Team Canada needs, is no different than any other competition. Officials that see it their way. Just allow Canada to hit with intent to "kill", with no penalty, then, penalize, the victim for diving. It does not work all the time, but when it does, Canada and "Knuckle Head Crerry", can claim hockey supremesy. The Russdians are the best and have been sence the 1950's.

Laff fan
Since you're still cheering on this excuse for a hockey team, no doubt this makes you an expert on the subject of "crack heads".By the way....sincere condoleances on your team "passing" the playoffs again this year.

Pete
From reading some of your comments and thinking you know alot about hockey last nights exhibition loss means nothing.
They will win the tourney easily. This years team is at least as good as last years if not then better.

Not so much, after last nights exhibition (pun intended) they don't stand a chance against the Russians.
