Hats off to you Jacques. Now,at least I can say there's one leaf fan out there that makes sense, and that i can actually respect. The day the laffs stop sucking, will be the day they go into the vacuum cleaner business.

Before last night's game coach Mo said it would be an opportunity for the younger Laffs to step up and "show what they can do." 8-2 was what they showed they can do. Its going to be a long, long time before this ship is turned around. The Laffs' scouting staff for years has failed to uncover fresh, new, capable players. John Pohl, Newbury and the others aren't good enough. Did JFJ put his brother in-law in charge of the scouting staff? There is a huge problem there and hopefully Fletch will replace them all. I mean all of the coaching staff. And what the heck all of the players as well.

As much as i hate the leafs, Bell's hit was clean, when a player cuts across the middle with his head down he's an idiot and Bell took advantage, Alfredson is too soft he would have gotten hurt in the playoffs anyway...

Sens fans should stop whining about what Bettman has determined is a clean hit. Leafs fans should stop gloating...one hit does not a season make. The Leafs will not change a bit. They set low goals for themselves and achieve them every year.
This comment is about last night's game against the Ottawa Senators. I have been a Maple Leafs fan for 50+ years and I was very sad to see last night's game. Mark Bell trying to hurt players. Mark Bell is not really aplayer cause he hasen't proven himself this year and the years before. Now wearing a sheild he goes out on the ice and tries to hurt another player. He should not be playing hockey. I am very discussed with the Leafs and I dont think I will be watching hockey anymore and if I do I will probably be rooting for another team. Like I said I am very very discouraged with the action of Mark Bell on Daniel Alfredson. Someone in the Leafs organisation better start making some serious changes in the team. I can live with the fact that they lose every year but not with a Leaf player trying to hurt another player especially the likes of Mark Bell.

Fold the franchise!!! Send all Leaf fans to a sheep farm in Australia. At least there they will have the wool sheared from their eyes and see there are NHL managements out there that actually care about their franchises.

I'll tell you what:
Some players should probably watch their back this summer. Clean or not, the Mangle Leafs were clearly trying to at least cripple Ottawa for the playoffs to make up for their own inadequacy. Just goes to show you that they are no better than their hoards of under-bred cheering fans (who took great pleasure to see Alfie fall). Have fun watching from the sidelines (again) this spring.
GO SENS!

:-) ok, joe, i didn't take any offence. but please, don't put me in the same category as those who cheer when a player is hurt. the hit was clean and great to see. crusty won't be out too long anyway, once he wipe all the tears, he will be back.

Oh Park it! If you do not want to talk about the leafs don't post here go somewhere else! Unfortunately some of the previous posters had nothing to share to answer the question for today. The Leafs need to keep Sundin on a year by year and if he wants more money than last year so be it . He is at least earning it. We should honor him not blame him. The non productive big paycheck players they cannot move or send down- bench them. If we are lucky a few of the big egos may retire. the others will accept a trade after some time on the pines. Who knows, we might be surprised to find a few dig down and remember how they earned those hefty paychecks. We saw the youngsters of the team rise to give us good hockey and were continuing to improve because they had more icetime. That is a way to see the team get better without the infusion of new blood that the team so deperately needs. Will this give us a Stanley run next year --unlikely but at least it will allow the team to be more competitive in a year or two with some smart trades and drafts..
Bring back Scotty B. and nice clean hit Bell!
