Are the Leafs pulling off good moves?
Mon, November 24, 2008

The Maple Leafs have traded Carlo Colaicovo and Alex Steen to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for forward Lee Stempniak.

Stempniak, 25, a native of West Seneca, N.Y., scored 27 goals two seasons ago.

This season, he has three goals and 10 assists through 14 games.

Is this a good move for the Leafs? Have your say in our forum.

This thread is getting real old. Who cares, they wont make the playoffs for at least another 3 or 4 years if then. If Sundin doesnt return they will be out of the playoff race by January. That would be a good thing then they will get a lottry pick and finally start rebuilding this pathetic team.

I saw on TSN tonight that the Laffs have asked the Canucks for permission to talk to Nonis. No I am not kidding. We shouldnt be surprised, it is the Laffs after all.

The rumour is that Nonis woud be the GM, then next summer Burke will come and be the president.

The search committee has done an amazing job lmfao. 3 men to find a fired GM that didnt do anything in Vancouver, what a frigging joke.

What do the Laffs do now,you ask? Hurry as fast as they can,to sign Quinn to a muli-year contract, before Ottawa's stupid enough to hire this over-rated relic.

GO LEAFS GO, I don't think I can improve any on Norbitt's response. The only thing I will add is look at all the first round talent the Oilers still have in the system, Toronto, Not so much. The future is not so bright in TO. But, good luck to you and your buddies, we will continue to have a good laff at your expense.

GO LEAFS GO

"You can live on the Gretzky, Messier era but you guy have done nothing since either."

lol, that's funny stuff little fella. the Leafs haven't won the Cup in 41 years and yet you accuse us of living in a different era.At least the Oilers have won it all in the era of color television.I haven't exactly heard of any big names wanting to play in Toronto recently, unless you count McCabe and Tucker as big.LOL!

Bottom line:nobody wants to be Toronto's GM because the organization is a complete gong show from top to bottom: the players suck, the management is incompetent and the scouting/drafting are a league-wide joke. It boggles my mind that you continue to root for them even though the owners clearly don't care about winning as long as yahoos like you keep on making them rich by buying tickets and merchandise.Look at both teams and tell me,honestly, who's future looks better? If you say Toronto's, you're not only delusional but also possibly on something.

Oil Country will have a great summer and is very much looking forward to fall. How about the Leafs?lol.

Norbit, 2008-04-27 03:03:18

Norbit and Pete ...

are all Oiler fans as obnoxious as you two?

You call 10 cm of snow a storm in TO and your looking forward to another season of not making the playoffs also. You may need to get some bandaids out ot Rexall Place just to keep your team together cause no one wants to play there. You can live on the Gretzky, Messier era but you guy have done nothing since either.

So have a great summer and we'll see you in the fall.

ps... please don't make any more predictions cause you just look like a ....well you know.

GM or BM . Wiarton Willie the ground hog is still available. Works for plant roots. Take a vegie for the team and get in for free.

ESPN the Magazine surveyed 80,000 fans and the Senators were the top ranked Canadian NHL team for fan devotion - 29th overall (NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB)(Canwest News Service April 25, 2008).

The Leafs ranked 121 out of the 122 franchises.

Enough said.

A circus needs a clown and Avery might need a new gig in the summer.

So sign Avery and he and Tucker can be the V.P. and President of the hockey dept. Cant get any better than that in leaf land lol.
