There's really no hurry to find a permanent GM. Fletcher's doing a good job in the interim. Leafs aren't winning the cup next year. They're entering the John Tavares sweepstakes. Come-on Cliff dump those contracts and trade for a couple of good prospects.

How many months has the leaf brain trust had to come up with a proven losing coach. This is not the guy to take you to the next level. He had the players in San Jose and Washington and couldn't get the job done. It is getting hardr and harder to stay a leafs fan. Time to clear out the very top and put modern hockey people in charge.

great hire by the leafs, first of all he hates Canadian media and for him to be in the centre of the universe, he's going to be dealing with the Canadian media everday so get "friggen" used to it, plus he's coming from a totally under achieving team to a team thats going in reverse hows he going to deal with that.... boy its going to be fun and easy running the leafs down this year.

This entire Leaf organization is a joke. Its June and they have no coach and an interim Gm. The search committee(anther joke) doesn't know what it wants to do.Time to clean the entire house. The way things are going we'll be lucky to have a real contender in 10 years.

Great hire by the Leafs and also an upgrade over Maurice. First off, Maurice was hired to win with proven players and was never asked to teach youngsters how to play or win. Wilson in all the places he has coached has had to deal with young players that needed guidance. Anaheim, Washington and San Jose, lots of young talent that needed to be molded - and they did get the results the brass wanted. This hire goes in line with the theory that the Leafs are going to develop their young talent and see what comes out of it. Overall, good job by management. However, this does mean we probably will not see Sundin back in 08/09.

Positive moves by Leaf Management....hiring Ron Wilson...Brian Burke to follow..(of course our future GM had a say in the new coach)..now we wait and see what they can do with the current Leaf roster!!
