Are you happy with the Sens' offseason moves?
Thu, August 28, 2008

The Sens are a team that went to the Stanley Cup final two years ago before suffering a disappointing season in 2007-08.

They have a new coach and now no more Ray Emery.

Can the Senators turn it around and make a fresh start next season? Have your say in our forum.

well, Kevin the Hens fans brought up this issue, not me. and i think you are the one who can't follow the plot, as usual with a hens fan...

sens can win this series. not the huge underdogs they're listed as. probably good to investigate the vegas lines for this ...

The Pens are overrated. They are good, but not good enough...yet. That little stunt that they pulled off in their last season game will come back to haunt them. They will find out that they can't just turn it off and back on at will. This will be a hard lesson for them.

Look for the Sens to upset them in 6 games.

So Peter you can bring up Heaters past but we cant bring up Bells ?

You brought up Heaters accident not me, I just commented on what you said. Ok I will drop it because you cant follow the plot, must be a Laff fan.

All I will say is this - it doesn't matter how good a young team looks on paper, ask any ottawa fan. thats all im saying.

The Penguins will win in 6. There is too much turmoil within the Senator organization and when you look how they started off the season to barely making the playoffs, it does not look good for them. In fact, the Senators will not repeat their playoff fortunes of last year for a very long time.

Go Crosby!

No D, No goaltending, the scoring has gone south and the on ice chemistry is gone..

Sens are done in 4.

They likely won't make it past the 1st round. Alfredsson has lead them (and partially carried them) to the Presidents cup, the Wales trophy among other titles so he will be sorely missed.

And with Bell doing a "hit an run" on Fishers knee it looks even worse.

The sens are limping into the Playoffs, but I have to agree with Murray. They could easily pull through this series and move to round 2. Suspect goaltending from either Gerber or Emery would kill any chance they might have. The habs might be one team to watch in the east.

PS: Leafs suck and always will.

Not unlike the optimism that reigns supreme in Ottawa whenever a new government is formed, it's still the same poisoned environment! The lack of charisma that plagues the Sens is likened to the current federal government's leadership. No doubt an omen that these Sens are also incapable of winning a majority...
