Are you happy with the Sens' offseason moves? Thu, August 28, 2008
The Sens are a team that went to the Stanley Cup final two years ago before suffering a disappointing season in 2007-08.
They have a new coach and now no more Ray Emery.
Can the Senators turn it around and make a fresh start next season? Have your say in our forum.

To Jake the Snake. You are really a piece of work. Go wash your mouth with some good old fashioned soap. Calling people filthy names or using filthy language doesn't reinforce your point but shows your lack of proper upbringing. We are talking about hockey. I don't appreciate your personal attacks. I only repeated what was said by Bob Mackenzie on TSN on Tuesday night's TSN SPORTSDESK. They have the statistics to back it up. I do not need them. So you don’t like Ottawa. Get over it! I am not an Ottawa Fan but, I do appreciate the sport enough to have formulated an opinion. This is something that you obviously have difficulty grasping.

I use to have alot of respect for Gary Roberts for being a power forward. After that cheap shot at the end of the game I lost alot of respect for him. He should be suspended for at least 3 games if not more.

Whether the Pens "tanked" the last game of the season is fairly irrelavent in the scheme of things. Does it really matter who the Sens play - Montreal or Pittsburgh?
Mr. Murray should be more concerned about the quality of play of his team. Maybe one more win by his dysfunctionalclub's part in
the last 10 games, or 40 games and they wouldn't be in 7th.

Well I watched the game and I would have to say 'YES' they tanked the game on purpose, but who can blame them. Sens would not have made the playoffs it the season was a week longer. Pens in 6 or less.

What are you smoking dude ? The Sens went to the Stanley Cup finals last year. How is that packing up and losing in the first round ?
Look at your team, the Make Me Laffs, havent made the playoffs 3 years in a row, and probably wont next year either.
When was the last time the almighty Laffs were in the finals ? 1967 the last year they won it ?
You need to get a clue before you start sounding off because your ignorance is showing how little you really know.

I can't dispute your contention that "The most likely upset in the Stanley Cup playoffs has historically been the 2 vs 7", but can you back that up with statistics, a website, or something else supporting your point? And I don't mean a couple of examples.
Otherwise your just another typical Sens fan - full of crap and making things up to support your point.

The Pens showed that they liked losing against Philly. This showed a distaste for true playoff competition. They actually expect an automatic to win against the Sens. This will prove to be a gross miscalculation on their part. Well, if losing they like, then losing is what they'll get. They will be like deer in the headlights of the Ottawa Senators. They have too much experience for Pittsburgh. Brian Murray will undoubtedly out-coach Michel Therien. Too many Pens are still wet behind the ears. The most likely upset in the Stanley Cup playoffs has historically been the 2 vs 7.
Senators in 6! Better luck next year lads!

I really can't understand why Slam didn't post my blog about the hit that Mark Bell of the Leafs put on the two cry baby sens. Seems last year Dummy Neil Hit Drury of the Sabres and Murry said the Sabres were Cry Babies so who's crying now!!!!
As for this years Playoffs the Sens are going to do what they do every year Pack up and go fishing. The Pens in Five. After this playoff Murray and Sens will be just a Dream in the Playoffs for years to come!!!!

This question is a no brainer, kinda like asking if the maple laughs will make the playoffs next year not!!!
The Sens have no leadership and are a very divided team, The Pens are young, hungry and hugely talanted, kinda like throwing chum to hungry sharks, the sens will be devoured!!!! The only team capable of keeping up to the Pens at this point are the up and coming Oilers!!!!
