What's your reaction to the 'Riders trading Joseph? Thu, March 6, 2008
Despite the fact he became a hero on the prairie by leading the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a long-awaited Grey Cup win last fall, this was all about money as Joseph could not come to contract terms with general manager Eric Tillman.
Instead, Tillman felt he had no other move but to deal Joseph to the Argos for defensive end Ronald Flemons, offensive tackle Glenn January and a first-round pick in this spring's CFL draft.
What's your reactin to the Roughriders trading Kerry Joseph to the Argonauts? Have your say in our forum.
I think Tillman was wise to this one. Considering Josephs' age (almost 35),his salary demands, and his sub-par performance in the 07 Grey Cup win tells me its not a great loss to the Saskachewan Rough Riders.I watched Joseph when he was playing in Ottawa and respect his abilities but I believe he has peaked as a quarterback in this league and Tillman may have picked up on it. So I think it was a good move. P.S--stu, do you have anything friggin intelligent to say regarsding this forum??!!

although Kerry Joseph is a great addition to the argonauts i am not in favor of him taking the #1 quarterback position, Bishop has worked hard for the Argos and has proved himself to be a great quarterback. Bishop has stuck by the Argos and has earned his spot, so for Kerry to come in and just take away that is wrong!!. And i have to say i don't know why in the news conference he put on a jersey with #4 on it, last time i checked that is Talbot's number,or does he have to give give that up to Joseph too???

How much "baggage" does this guy come with?

Kerry Joseph is hugely overrated. The Saskatchewan defence was the major reason that they won the cup. He played here in Ottawa and Damn! He was frustrating to watch. He would look brilliant for a couple of plays and then he would badly underthrow a wide open receiver. He always was injured for about 1/3 the season.
Brilliant move by Eric Tillman (The TILLER mouth).

Being named mvp usually means you're worth a hell of a lot to your team and won't be traded. Doesn't it?
Let's see how the season plays out.

I am very dissapointed with Eric Tillman. He couldn't convince Kent Austin to stay as head coach. Now he didn't want to pay Kerry Joseph what he is worth. I don't think much of his management skill in regards to the Roughriders. It will probably get worse before it gets better.

Well ... at least he is not going to one of these new start up leagus in the US! Glad he opted for Canada!
