The Leafs lose the easy ones but win the tough ones.
After shedding three players at the NHL trade deadline, the Leafs have 20 games to close the gap on 8th place in the East, but will need some help.
Can the Leafs perform the improbable and reel in a playoff spot?
Some of us prefer to think for ourselves and put our allegiances behind teams that have hope. Leafs fans, you people are just sad.

Clearly, any thread on the Leafs attracts considerably more attention than any devoted to the Sens. And where the rest of the Canadian teams are concerned both far exceed them:
What's plaguing the Canucks has dran 4 comments to date, while Are the Habs ready for the playoffs has generated 16 - and both are currently spot-lighted here.
Should the Flames trade Alex Tanguay drew 8 comments, and for "Can the Oilers turn their season around" there were all of 16.
Easy to see why they concentrate on the Leafs and Sens.

It's been a few years that I started watching Canadians again with some seriousness. I know we had a great deal of rivalry between the Habs and the Leafs. Good years between Shack and Furgeson shows. Yes better hockey than you will see anytime soon.
I seem to see the Leafs name pop up everywhere and I for one say let it go. Give these poor bastards a break from the limelite so that they can regain composure. It's not see being the big and somewhat renound city of Toronto, but the team is hurting and it should be given a chance to collect itself and go back to basics. Get rid of the heavy's who think that nothing else exists but the Leafs or the other pro teams and ad nosium. Give it a break. It's like there are no other teams out there that deserves better new. Thanks.
