The Senators are saying goodbye to goaltender Ray Emery.
In the wake of several incidents involving both the team and member of the public over the past couple of seasons, Emery has been served with a buyout notice by the club and has been placed on NHL waivers.

No, Brian Murray should have addressed the goaltending problem, Emery should have been gone..No way should Ron Low have been fired, it's sad to see Ottawa sink so quick.

Something has been going wrong. This is the same crew that won 15 of 17 to start the season, and very nearly the same crew that made a good run at the cup last season. How much of the problem is attributable to Paddock only the players know, but action had to be taken. That's life in a hockey arena! There haven't been very many coaches who haven't experienced the axe across their neck at least once. The last two games show clearly enough that he isn't able to motivate the millionaires any more, so yes, it was necessary. Who's next?

was he wearing the skates?..firing a coach does not change nothing!

No, it wasn`t necessary. What was necessary was sending Emery anywhere. Next a few heart transplants would be one solution for a bunch of losers. Gordon

Yes, but because im a habs fan I enjoyed the back to back shut outs, but looks montreal might as wel give up half of their hopes for fist place in their divison.

Hi yes it was time for him to go and i think right behind him should be Wade Redden should be sent packing to

Yes this was necessary. When the first big loosing skid was on it was obvious that Paddock didn't have what it took to get the team playing properly fast enough. He completely blew the management of the goaltenders and now the teams record is starting to catch up with John's shortcommings as an NHL coach. I think he is probably an ok coach for an ok team or an AHL team but not for one of the best teams in the best league in the world.

It was obvious that a rebellion occured by the players that was manifested by the play on the ice. Many misplays appeared to be rehersed.

No. Next question?
sensfan, 2008-02-27 16:52:06
Hell yeah it was necessary. This had to happen and everyone who follows the Sens predicted it before the Boston game was even half over.
This is a Stanley Cup favorite, and under Paddock they were playing like an ECHL team. Good riddance to a coach who could not get it done.
