The Ottawa Senators have shaken things up.
Ottawa acquired forward Cory Stillman and defenceman Mike Commodore from the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday for forward Patrick Eaves and defenceman Joe Corvo.
The Senators lead the Eastern Conference and have made very few changes from the team that lost to Anaheim in last year's Stanley Cup.
Does this deal address problems in the Senators lineup? Are the Sens a better team following the four-player trade? Have your say in our forum.
Sens pull off a big deal
Despite their 5-1 loss to Buffalo, it will still be a goof trade for the Sens, especially come playoff time, where Stillman and Commodores grit will serve them better than the potential of Corvo and Eaves. Yes, they need a good anchor on the PP, but they are deep enough that it will be only a minor stumbling block.

when your team is ranked 28th in a 30 team league and rarely ices a credible team, you must learn to shaddup.
leaf nation is the subject of much mocking because of deluded fans like you.
Senator fans are well aware that we have not won the big one yet, but ya gotsto make the playoffs to have a shot at it.
And that's the bottomline, because Goober says so.

Hey Blue in the Valley...no seriously, Ottawa couldn't bash Toronto years ago...you had a team we didn't. you may have lost lots of games back in the 70's and 80's but you still had a team. there was no problem even when we did get a team in the early 90's. To me, what I hated about Toronto was people like Domi and Tucker. they instigated at every turn, didn't play fair, had a jerk of a coach (Pat Quinn) and whined whenever they could like babies yet they would play so physical they got away with things. They actually were playing like the Boston Bruins used to when they pushed there weight around. Well, i don't know about the rest of the Ottawa fans out there but i hate bullies. people who think they own the world. Glad to see the rules changed a few years ago and change how Toronto played their game (or how Toronto appeared to themselves how hockey was to be played). Luckily, true talent paid off the for the Sens and they are getting to where they wanted to go based on skill not dirty tactics. That in a nutshell is why we (or at leat I) hate Toronto...
Point taken people...it will all come down to the wire in the playoffs so no matter who you are routing for...appreciate real talent on the ice and not the whiners...
