Chris Simon has received the longest suspension in NHL history - again.
The New York Islanders forward was banned 30 games by league disciplinarian Colin Campbell after Simon stepped on Pittsburgh's Jarkko Ruutu during a game over the weekend.
What do you think should happen to him? Have your say in our forum.
There must be a clear point after which the League disciplinarians send this kind of idiot packing. How long is his risky behaviour going to be tolerated? When he uses his skates or stick as a weapon next time is the suspension going to be 40 games? 30 is not enough in a pro sports League that is trying to adjust its culture and avoid bad hits, let alone the moronic behaviour of Chris Simon. Get rid of him and Downy...

Chris Simon plays more often with his heart rather than his head...send him to the Oilers when his suspension is over the oilers need alot more heart!!!!

How Chris Simon has not been banned for life is beyond me?
The blatant disregard he has for his fellow players is a joke. The ax chop he laid on Ryan Hollweg last year could have killed him.
It is time to set an example so another idoit doesn't do something worse.

He should be banned from the league for life. Enough is enough!
