Chris Simon has received the longest suspension in NHL history - again.
The New York Islanders forward was banned 30 games by league disciplinarian Colin Campbell after Simon stepped on Pittsburgh's Jarkko Ruutu during a game over the weekend.
What do you think should happen to him? Have your say in our forum.

I also think the instigator rule has made the job these individuals perform even more difficult ... for the first time they are finding themselves challenged by individuals that have absolutely no intention of EVER dropping the gloves. It must be very frustrating to have to deal with the beakers and agitators out there who continue to hide behind the rules as they are now. We would see less of these kinds of situations, less disrespect for the welfare of fellow players health and possibly less injuries to the stars who "carry the mail" if the league would repeal the instigator rule.
All that said, I think the 30 games is probably a just punishment in this case because we still have to be held accountable for our actions and he has the distinction of being a multiple repeat offender.

That baseball type swing last year that hit the Rnger player in the face should have been at least a year suspenion. How that guy wasnt injured with at least a broken jaw is unbelievable.
