Are MLB players telling the truth?
Wed, February 13, 2008

Brian McNamee said he injected Roger Clemens with performance-enhancing drugs more often than he previously claimed, starting their high-stakes testimony before U.S. Congress on Wednesday with new attacks on the credibility of the seven-time Cy Young Award winner.

"I have helped taint our national pastime," McNamee, the pitcher's former personal trainer, said in his prepared statement, released before the start of the highly anticipated hearing.

Clemens has denied the accusations that became public in December's Mitchell Report.

Do you believe Clemens and other players when they say they did not inject themselves with performance-enhancing drugs? Have your say in our forum.

The players association seem to have been the main problem over the years in protecting instead of being being pro-active long ago.

Steroids is a way of life from high school cheerleading to powerlifting at the olympics, so for anyone out there who is so naive and doesn't realize it WAKE UP!!!! Theres already product out there that masks all traceable roids

This is the greatest day in baseball history. Simply because we've finally exposed the fact that these overpaid "athletes" can't handle a less physical sport without the use of drugs. The most exhilerating thing for me is whiner Clemens is finally exposed for a cheat. I hope that all 60 of these players are banned, that there is no Hall of Fame for Clemens, and that there is drastic change in baseball.

For many years I have stated on my radio show, world class athletes (and I go as far as saying 99%)in all sports, engage in some form of performance enhancing drugs. It is literally impossible to compete at world levels today, unless drugs are taken either for training or performing. The smart ones just regulate their intake to coincide with testing dates, and when they slip up, they claim innocence in the time honored statement of "not knowingly" taken anything stronger than pain killers or cold medication, while hiring a lawyer. The necessary makeup of a top athlete is never accepting second position. Combine that with the worship and monetary gains associated with winners, and you will find drugs in every sport and in every medal performance. Any top athlete that claims otherwise is lying. Period.

They should make a seperate Hall of Fame for all the players who chose to use illegal drugs , steroids.Call it the Hall of Shame.Great role models for my boys.

Great news Barry is off the hook now as there is no way these players will be all able to say they didn't do it too. So Barry was just keeping up with the Jones, the Mark's, the Rogers, the Andys, ---too ??? funny.

Lets see them come down as hard on these guys as they did on Bonds.

Same with the guys commenting in this forum.
