I used to like watching boxing when there were big names involved like Muhammed Ali, George Foreman, etc. in the Seventies - and it was on regular free television.
I have never watched a UFC fight except for a few highlights on TV, but I'm not in the least interested.
They keep coming up with new sports that are more violent and I like the regular boxing, but today there are no big names in boxing like 30 years ago or even when Mike Tyson was at the top of the rankings.

As much as I love boxing and as much history as it has, boxing I believe has not captured the imagination of the newer generations; MMA is where the future talent pool of fighters will be heading. For that reason, it's potential future, and do or die mentality, MMA is far more exiting.

UFC is way more exciting.

Boxing is still exciting. I find the UFC to be a little redneck and wild. There was a guy who died recently in that brand of fighting.
