Bob Cole is absolutely brutal by himself, for sure, but when he is paired with Harry Neale it sends me scrambling for the mute button or switching channels to listen to the French guys. (I used to enjoy listening to Rick Jeanneret call the Sabres games - via nhl.com - but now that Neale is his usual partner I choose to listen to another game.)
Greg Millen is just a younger Harry Neale with a bit more credibility because he played the game, but he is still irritating. Also, I’m tired of Ron MacLean and Don Cherry. However, I do enjoy some of CBCs personnel – Jim Hughson, while too much of a Canuck fan, is good…Kelly Hrudey’s greatness sadly can’t overcome Scott Oake’s horribleness…and PJ Stock (!) shows some promise.

Are you kidding? Brian Williams, hands down! He's ruined the Olympics for me on several occasions and have you ever heard him do a Jays baseball game? Wow, horrible! With that bug-eyed stare and uninformed delivery, he's clearly the worst.

Bob McKenzie is an automatic mute selection in our home. The man no doubt knows his stats or has read the back of one to many hockey cards. However, he seems more like filler for dead air time and constantly repeats himself. At least he has been like that in the past. His face or voice on TV causes a quick mute or change channel reflex to occur in our home.

I think you are WAY off on a lot of these picks...
Bradshaw - without him, FOX NFL Sunday loses it's entire appeal and dynamic with the other crew.
Cherry - A little off-colour; of course. A Canadian Classic; absolutely.
But who knows, maybe Mike Keenan could take over the spot on Coach's Corner - that would be a hit...

Bob Cole the worst? You need your head examined, Ripley. Cole is one of the greatest broadcasters who ever lived.
No one but a whiny Ottawa fan would be ill-informed enough to call him the worst broadcaster ever.

Bob Cole. Absolutely no doubt in my mind. Even though I am a die-hard Leafs fan, I cannot stand the altzheimer-fed diatribe that Cole spews. He lives in his own mind and generally goes on and on about nothing in particular, unless the Leafs have made a good play. His personal experiences injected into the "play-by-play" serve no purpose other than to maks the fact he no longer has a grasp of the present. Prime example is from last-year's playoffs. While commenting on a play made by one of the Senators, he likened it to a similar play by one of the Leafs!
Get this embarrassement to hockey commentators off of the air and into the old-folks home where he belongs.

Don Cherry? I don't think so! My vote for worst goes to Bill Watters on Sportsnet. I respect what he and Pat Quinn did when they managed the Leafs, but he's awful on a mic. This guy can't string two sentences together without sounding like a blabbering, opinionated fool on those hockey broadcasts. Cherry is what he is, but at least he can offer decent analysis from time to time.
