Are the Leafs too pampered? Wed, November 21, 2007
The entire Leafs team will be in a private box at Texas Stadium to watch the Cowboys and New York Jets play on American Thanksgiving. The Leafs play the Stars on Friday night.
"It's going to be awesome. I'm pumped," Leafs goalie Andrew Raycroft said Wednesday before the team flew to Dallas. "I'm looking forward to getting out there.
Are the Leafs too pampered? Have your say in our forum.
Pampered. Why are we even commenting on this one. Load them all up in a cruise ship with about 200 miles of gas in shark invested waters and then pull the plug and let them swim to shore. Thats pampered.

We all know how Punch Imlach screwed up the Maple Leafs in the late Seventies/early Eighties.

The Leafs and all the rest of todays modern day players are too soft because they've been pampered from early on and especially after they become professionals.I'd love to see how they'd respond to Toe Blake or Punch Imlach. They'd all be crying to their agents to get them out of here.

Yes they're pampered! Look at the number of polls directed at the Leafs, the least of all the teams in Canada. Let's create a rule of equal time for polls and have one for each other Canadian team before you can come back to the Leafs again. The discourse would become much more intelligent and interesting.

Gary,
If Teemu Selanne can win the Cup, then so can Mats. Except maybe on another team.

Firing JFJ and Maurice wont solve any of the problems.
The real problems are Peddie and the board that cant keep there noses out of the hockey operations for more than a day.
Peddie hired JFJ so he wont fire him, he hand picked.
Not until the suits back off from the hockey department will things turn around, until then its the same old same old. Trade first round draft picks for next to nothing and hopefully slide into the 8th playoff spot and make a few million from 2 home playoff games.
