Of course he is bonafide Hart material, he plays great in the regular season. And the Hart is solely judged on regular season only (e.g. Crosby). But to me, the true prize is the Conn Smythe trophy.

Alfredsson, play awesome last year in the playoffs, the team fizzled in the final. I am not even a sens fans, but leafs fans will still not give this guy his kudos. Envy I think, Alfie is 10X better than Sundin.

He got man handled in the Finals. My Hart trophy would go to someone a team couldn't play without. I doubt Ottawa would even miss if he went down with a serious injury.

He led the league in playoff scoring last year. So they lost, in the end, to a better team. That does not take away from his accomplishments. Comments like the one from "blue" I hold in front of me as I sit in the smallest room in the house. Soon they will be behind me.
