Someone that will be a very good captain in a few years is Mike Richards in Philadelphia. He will lead the Flyers back to a serious cup contender. He is a winner and will do what ever it takes to win.

I dont know who the Leafs picked in the draft when the Flyers got Richards and Jeff Carter but they missed out on 2 very good young players yet again.

Steve Yzerman was 1 of the best captains ever.Kevin Lowe was a great captain, but the best captain in the NHL among active players is Nicklas Lidstrom.
