Who's missing from the Hockey Hall of Fame?
Fri, November 9, 2007

With all the recent debate of Eric Lindros' Hall of Fame credentials following his retirement announcment, the Hockey Hall of Fame will induct five big names from the game on Nov. 12.

But there are certainly some names that the hall has not called upon yet that deserve to be there. Players who have done a lot on the ice during their career. Players who have won Stanley Cups, amassed a large amount of points or have been great leaders for a long period of time.

Who do you think is missing from the hall? A long-forgotten name or a recent retiree? Tell us what you think in our forum.

How about Billy Boucher 1924 Canadiens champions. One of the all time great lines. Both of his brothers are already in there.

Doug Gilmour. He should have been inducted in his first year of elgibility.

What about thinking beyond the famous scorers and giving some thought to the infamous protectors of said-scorers. Even though some will argue this, I think the HHOF, to properly represent ALL of hockey, should occasionally honour those who helped ensure that the scorers were able to score. Is someone like Dave "The Hammer" Schultz in the HHOF? If not, I think he should be, after all is he still not to this day a household name for anyone who watched hockey back in the 70's? The pugilist played (and still plays) a legitimate and recognized role in the game, and those who did that job particularly well (like Schultz), should also be recognized...in my humble opinion.

Glenn Anderson should already be in the hall.Hopefully, next year he will get in with my personal choices: Dave Andreychuk and Doug Gilmour!

Glenn Anderson was a good and even great player. Does he qualify? I don't know. They should have criteria for qualification. Minimum number of points scored, games played, community involvement hours, ethical standards to meet etc. That way there will be no questions about who is in or out. I know people won't agree but it would make it fair for most.

Off ice troubles aside. Theoren Fleury had 1088pts in 1084 games. He has a Stanley Cup and Olympic Gold. He put big numbers for a guy who was 5'6" in the clutch and grab era. Paved the way for the small players we see today.

How Glenn Anderson hasn't made the Hall yet is beyond me. He has career stats in both the regular season and playoffs that certainly merit His inclusion into the Hall. He was a clutch scorer who had more than his share of big goals along the way. Anderson deserves it more than a few that are already in there.

Have to agree with Jimmy and Cy. Glen Anderson should be in for sure. He was Mr. May / June, scoring huge goals in the playoffs. Its a shame he isnt in already. Maybe his less than friendly relationships with the media held him back.

To me the obvisious one is Glen Anderson. He has 499 career goals but in the playoffs is where he really came through. He was a clutch scorer that scored alot of big goals in in the cup wins.

Glenn Anderson of the Oilers

If its stats you want give me Anderson in the big games. Oh how many big games was the big E in and how did he do
