Does Lindros deserve to be a Hall of Famer? Wed, November 7, 2007
Eric Lindros is hanging up his skates after a 13-year career marred by injuries and controversy.
Lindros will announce Thursday that he is retiring from the NHL to work with the NHLPA.
His total of 865 points might not seem like enough to guarantee going into the NHL Hall of Fame in a few years, due to his health and the lockout. But does Lindros deserve to be elected into the Hall, despite the few honours he garnered on the ice? Have your say in our forum.
Yes...Although Lindros never achieved the greatness once predicted, he was for a short while a dominating player. One of the best early in his career. Had he not been stopped by injury he likely would have achieved more than most in the Hall. Remember it is called the Hall of Fame and not the hall of individual achievement!

Are you kidding?? Of course, he should NOT be in the Hall of Fame. He was alright, but too injured too often, and the whole Nordiques thing ruined a team and ruined his chances to get any respect from other players, teams and fans. No, Eric does not deserve to even be considered for the NHL Hall of Fame

There has been too much control from his mother and that has spoiled his future. He could wait a while there are more qualified players

Absolutely!!! just because he wore a Maple Leafs jerseys at one point should get him in!!! Plus his numbers are great compared to hall of famer Clark Gillies, who rode the coat tail of Bossy and Trottier.

HELL NO! Just for snubbing The Quebec Nordiques and ultimately ruining that franchise. His Mom should be inducted before him.

If they had a Hall Of Gall he'd be a shoo-in.

When you check him out, and then realize who the panel has passed over, I figure, Eric should have a very long wait......ie Glenn Anderson
