Does Lindros deserve to be a Hall of Famer?
Wed, November 7, 2007

Eric Lindros is hanging up his skates after a 13-year career marred by injuries and controversy.

Lindros will announce Thursday that he is retiring from the NHL to work with the NHLPA.

His total of 865 points might not seem like enough to guarantee going into the NHL Hall of Fame in a few years, due to his health and the lockout. But does Lindros deserve to be elected into the Hall, despite the few honours he garnered on the ice? Have your say in our forum.

Lindros says goodbye

He shouldn't be included. He had potential but it just never worked out for him. As was said before, a good junior career and a couple of good years at the begining of his NHL career do not warrant a place in the Hall of Fame.

What has he done for hockey other than move salaries up, make agents rich, help to make hockey a total business, i think he was a pathetic role model for kids comng up because of how he treated the draft, he made a mockery of being the number one pick!!!!

It would be an insult to all members of the Hall if Lindros gets in

Sure there should be a spot for him, just so long as it's in the, "After ME, everybody else comes first" Hall of Fame.

It's not called the "Hall of Pretty Good", so no.

The Next One NO! If he had gone to the NOrdiques he might have actually won a few cups - duh, bet you he did not figure that they would move to Denver.

Solid player but not the numbers for HALL OF FAME. TOO bad he did not learn how to skate with his head up otherwise he would be playing still(maybe!) Adios lindros!

no way .. you have to earn your stripes ....at the best a second line player

It would be rediculous to even consider he would be worthy of such a standing. What did he do that would warrant this? A spectacular junior career should not apply. As "steve martin" said, his cry baby antics should disqualify him immediately.

You guys are honestly asking this question? Really?

Why should he be in there? He did nothing to desrve HOF honors besides get hit and get hit hard. I dont think they let people like that in there.

I have to agree with Jim.

If someone like Glen Anderson is overlooked this long, given his achievments, what makes the Lindros 'CLAN' eligble given their history and contributions (or lack thereof) to the game?

A thought ... is the hall big enough to house a likeness of Lindros' face? He'd need a hall to himself for that big head of his!

I got it! Put Scott Steven's shoulder pads in there instead, there's an imprint of part of Eric's face on them already.

Flyer fan too!
