Martina Hingis is retiring from professional tennis after denying that she used cocaine.
Hingis, a five-time Grand Slam champion, said Thursday she has been accused of testing positive for the drug at Wimbledon. "I find this accusation so horrendous, so monstrous that I've decided to confront it head on by talking to the press," she said. "I am frustrated and angry. I believe that I am absolutely 100 per cent innocent."
Do you believe Hingis? Have your say in our forum.

I believe her.
From her statement I beleive her. If she actually took coke she wouldn't say that. Under coke you become very sensative to the environment around you and things appear to happen in slow motion because your mind is racing. It makes 120 mph serves seem like they are going 20 mph. That state of euphoria makes you forget about the big picture and keeps you focused to just reacting. Which is ideal for sports. Its banned for a reason.

Yes, I do believe her 100%. Anyone playing tennis can attest to the required level of concentration needed to strike the ball efficiently. Being in a state of euphoria (under cocaine influence) would be the last thing you want to be in before a tennis match.

Her timing to retire when this story breaks seems suspicious to me. Time will tell if she is innocent. In the mean time I will give her the benefit of the doubt.

I believe her, I've always admired her game and class. If she needs somewhere to stay, she can come live with me.
