What effect will the NFL have in Toronto? Tue, April 15, 2008
The Buffalo Bills are coming to Toronto.
The NFL has reached an agreement with the Bills that will allow them to play eight games -- five regular-season contests and three exhibitions -- in Toronto over the next five years.
Will games north of the border have any effect on the CFL? Would you go to an NFL game in Canada? Have your say in our forum.
I would not go to see a nfl game, no way no how.

I'd see a game out of curiosity. But apart from the NFL pools, I don't follow the NFL like the folks in Buffalo do. And I think most Toronto folks are in the same boat. Given how expensive it is to run one of those franchises, do you seriously think an NFL team can survive up here?

Yea the NFL isnt coming just like the MLB or the NBA. It will its just a matter of time.

I would absolutely go for sure, it's too far to go see a regular NFL game and I enjoy it more than the CFL.

Nope, got the CFL. Besides the NFL is not coming to Canada.. GET OVER IT>>>> It does not matter what old boy Ralph Wilson thinks, says, or wants. There is no financial benefit for the NFL to be in Toronto.

ofcourse seeing the eagles play against toronto, that would be a hard game to watch. but the NFL needs a team in toronto. Too much support. Enough with this 3rd down rule, u can't even have a proper offensive drive with 3 downs...jezzzz How about this for a team name Toronto Argos. hahahahhaha perfect.

NO, I would not attend these games. The NFL is a slow plodding game that lives off TV money, gambling and high-light reels to make it seem so exciting. Wannabe Americans (immature Canadians) will probably attend assuming that they aren't at a Leaf game booing McCabe that is.
