Will Bryan McCabe return to the Maple Leafs lineup just in time to be traded?
The Leafs highest paid defenceman has been a target of boo birds in Toronto for his play. Should the Leafs try and trade McCabe?
Have your say in our forum.
if he was in some American backwater, we would only get to see his gaffes on youtube

At the moment, for example, Florida could go from 12th to 3rd with a single win over any team, and with three wins Tampa Bay could jump from dead last in the Conference and Southeast Division to 3rd.
Toronto, on the other hand, fresh from back-to-back wins over Montreal and Detroit, could win three more in a row and still be no better than 9th based on games played/wins back of Boston, and yet be 2 points better than Florida if they were the team in 3rd!
I can see where they'd want to guarantee a playoff spot to a Divisional winner, but that spot should be based upon their point total and if that was less than seven other teams that spot should be 8th.

The acid test for TO will come when they next face a team as desperate as they are at the moment. And they'll have to rise to the occasion repeatedly for at least 8 to 10 games in order to vault over 6 teams - who, of course, will be winning games here and there themselves. It's a deep hole they've dug for themselves.

He really does suck that much.
I cannot imagine how bad the score will be today. But who really cares.

As for the Leafs, at this point in the season, sitting as low as they are, they would need to win 3 or 4 in a row at least before I would believe McCabe is really that important to their team. Even if they try move him, no one will want to eat his ridiculous salary so the point is moot. They should trade Gill before anyone because he is useless, but once again, who would want him?
