What sentence should Ramage get?
Wed, October 10, 2007

A jury has found former NHL player Rob Ramage guilty on all five charges he faced in connection with a fatal 2003 crash that killed a former Chicago Blackhawks player Keith Magnuson. That includes a guilty verdict on the most serious charge, impaired driving causing death.

The prosecution said scientific evidence showed Ramage had up to four times the legal blood-alcohol limit at the time of the crash, though none of the hundreds of people at an earlier reception could say he had a single drink.

Rough day for Ramage

Throw the book at him. He had four times the legal limit in his system. Time to start making examples out of these idiots that drink and drive and make them serve serious time for being what they really are, killers.

The courts give more sympathy for the accused instead of the victims and their famalies.

Our laws are a joke.

wayne, there is a difference between street racing and speeding. People speed all the time in the city and on the highway but according to your brilliant observation they are street racing. LOL

You are so clueless I feel sorry for you. LOL

I can follow along its you that gets lost. I guess you suffer from crs wayne. LOL When someone corrects you then you agree and go off in another direction.

This isnt waynes comment section, its CANOE'S. Stay within the topic posted by them.

In Canada victims families only get a say at sentencing. After the trial.

So you are the expert to refute me then.

Heatly was driving his ferrari like an idiot at over 100MPH in a residential (30MPH) neighbourhood and killed someone doing it. He is as much an idiot as Ramage.

Wasn't talking about what happened out of country, was saying if it happened here. Said Ramage, if out of country might not face anything either. Follow along jimmy.

Ramage should go to prison for at least 5 Years. Heatly should have too.

Ok I see now you are an expert on street racing. LOL Racing against a clock was being done in Alberta, people were renting exotic cars and seeing how fast they could go in an isolated area. You might wanna do more tha scan headlines or watch the whole story thats being shown on the news instead of just the upcoming stories. LOL

wayne the dumbass is back I missed you. LOL Same old stupid comments wayne. You cant get anything straight. Race the clock, is that what Heatley was doing ? Video games, we are talking real life here LMAO. Not your fantasy world.

Victims famalies do get a say if there is a crime committed we all know that but you I see. Synders parents played a big role in not having Heatley charged!
Jimmy, 2007-10-12 10:41:10

Ramage should be given a life sentence, life meaning life, he is a murderer plain and simple.
ozzy, 2007-10-12 10:30:46

Ah the insulting jimmy is back. Was beginning to miss you.

In ontario he would have been charged, under the old laws and under the new laws. If you kill someone doing something dangerous in your car its a crime here.

His parents forgiving has nothing to do with law.

Street racing in ontario is defined as going 50kmh over the speed limit. regardless if there is one or two cars.

Racing does not require two cars. There are many races were you race against the clock. You might want to get updated on what they actually do in street racing. there are many aspects. Doing ridiculously dangerous things are also involved. Video taping it is even a bigger credit.
wayne, 2007-10-12 10:15:25

wayne dont be an idiot, I know its hard for you but try harder. The reason I support Heatley is because the Synders have forgiven him and they are the ones that opinions count the most, it was their son. If they can forgive Heatley so can I. Everyone has sped at one time or another but of course you being a saint I know you havent. LOL
Jimmy, 2007-10-12 09:20:28

wayne get 1 thing straight. Heatley was speeding not street racing, there is a difference. Racing requires 2 cars racing agaisnt each other. Heatley wasnt street racing or driving drunk. He was speeding and lost control of his car that lead unfortunately to his best friends death. The D.A. in Atlanta did an investigation and along with the Synders wishes not to have Heatley charged.
