The Maple Leafs felt like throwing a hockey stick through the television following last night's 3-2 overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, preferably at the big HD screen at National Hockey League headquarters in Toronto.
But angry Nik Antropov took the team's anger at a costly overtime penalty and three video replay reversals the hardest, hurling his stick towards referees Mike Leggo and Don Koharski after Rod Brind'Amour netted the game-winner.
Forget about throwing hockey sticks. What about throwing in the towel on the season? What should the Leafs do before the trade deadline? Have your say in our forum.
That was a disgrace last night. The Leafs will be lucky if they are still in the playoff hunt in December!!!!!!!!!
We shouldnt be surprised though since they didnt make the playoffs last year and have the same team this year except for Blake, Bell and Toskala.
I will start looking at getting a hockey package just so I dont have to watch this terrible hockey team!!!!!!!!!

I hear excuses like, the Canes were more skilled and faster. Hate to inform the front office but on paper, the Canes are about middle of the pck when it comes to skilled and fast players. That would put the Loafs.... just above 1, maybe 2 teams on paper with regards to skill and speed. Who's fault is that... you guessed it... JFJ!! Get rid of him and bring a real hockey man in!

As usual leafs captain says all the right things after loss and so does coach. In order to have a decent year this team needs to start playing as a team and that means being prepared for games.

The leafs are going no where.Ferguson should be fired as he is clueless and Sundin should step down as captain and make Tucker Captain, who plays his heart out.Sundin should have been traded along time ago and lets get some speed on this team or it will be an early exit.

The Make Be-leafs are on the way to another dismal season. The Sens can be competitive. Why not the Leafs?
As long as corporate seats are earning huge profits and the ACC is full, management doesn't have to give a damn. As evidenced once again last night.
Leaf fans better start wearing paper bags to games.
The trip up to Ottawa for a Stanley Cup parade is marked on my calendar.

GO SENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH AHHAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GoSens, 2007-10-10 05:06:47
Leafs try to compete, but are too fragile in their egos. It will take 4 some real good coaching to turn this team around!

The leaf organization doesn.t care one way or the other. They aren.t ashamed to show them on leafs tv every hour of the day.SHOWBIZZ

Blue
The Make Me Laffs are fine ? They got smoked at home 7 - 1.
They are old, slow and lack any pure talent.
Its fans like you that the front office doesnt care about the product on the ice, you will go to the games no matter how bad the team is.
Maybe the fans are finally starting to get pissed off, with around 8 minutes left in the game alot had left.

Remarkable on a level that is hard to understand, unless one has coached and developed talent. This is quite clearly a team or more accurately an organization that has not and seemingly is not interested in addressing the need of a progressive, season long plan. Even more unfortunate, in light of the fact this is a relatively easy fix. Year after year a hockey culture that is the envy of the hockey world, yet results that defy common hockey sense.
