The Maple Leafs felt like throwing a hockey stick through the television following last night's 3-2 overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, preferably at the big HD screen at National Hockey League headquarters in Toronto.
But angry Nik Antropov took the team's anger at a costly overtime penalty and three video replay reversals the hardest, hurling his stick towards referees Mike Leggo and Don Koharski after Rod Brind'Amour netted the game-winner.
Forget about throwing hockey sticks. What about throwing in the towel on the season? What should the Leafs do before the trade deadline? Have your say in our forum.
Leafs are a joke. Paying hundreds to watch these buffoons play is a joke to all of their loyal but foolish fans.
It is time to stay home. If you can't stay away, bring out the paper bags and boo your head off!

Sometimes you hit a hot goalie. What can you do?

Boston is the 29th worst team in offence but score 5 against the Leafs. The Leafs are hopeless. I havent seen the high lights and dont want to, I am giving up on this laughing stock of a organization and team. Every part of this " pro " franchise is a sad pathetic joke. I hope they dont win another game all year and all junior players go back to the 80's and say they wont play for them so dont draft us.

well what can I say bring on poggie. Hey what about Emery, fire management for getting rid of the fin goalie and getting raycroft.

Who cares anymore. It's just a hopeless situation.

The biggest loser (besides the people in Toronto who continually support these deadbeats) is Mats
He's a class guy stuck playing with McKlutz & Co.
GO SENS!

Exceptional game for McCabe tonight. Only minus - 3.
He does seem to have the best seat in the house when the opposition scores. oh well some people believe that he would win the Norris playing for another team. I'm certain that we would trade him...if we could. and if another team would take him ..yea that would be the day

I have been a Leaf fan for over 70 years and for the 20 years I have wondered why. This franchise has been tortured by bad management for far too long but until fans stop putting money in management pockets they won't get any better.
The blind stupidity of a GM who pays for too much money to players who aren't worth a tenth of what they pay them is the start of their problems. The next problem is a coach, who means well but doesn't utilize the talent his players have. This is not a bunch of finesse players. They should be playing "Lunch bucket" type hockey. Crash and bang like Wendell Clark. The opposition should be looking over there shoulders wondering when they are going to be knocked on their backside not skating around the Leaf players as they aren't there. Everyone, not just Kilger, should be hitting and letting people know that the Leafs aren't to be toyed with, like they do now.
Trade JFJ for a bag of pucks and start over and do it right this time.
