The Svengali-like hold that JFJ has on Leaf mgt has always been a mystery to me. By now most fans who have commented have mentioned the huge number of mistakes made by JFJ. His problem is he can't tell a good hockey player from a bad one. It could be he is also relying on the judgment of the no name scouting crew anchored by Geo "Army" Armstrong. There is still potential for JFJ to do more long lasting damage by trading Sundin for anything but draft choices.

Why would heads roll in T-dot? That would make the assumption that there was actually a living, breathing entity in charge. Besides, with all the chumps filling the seats with their rumps, why sould a change be made? Make the franchise (recently rated as the NHL's most valuable) go broke...stop supporting them...stop making money for the Teachers Pension. Get some passion in the ownership/management of the team and not just for the bank account.

Cmon Toronto, give Sundin a break and trade him to a real team..you know, one that actually has a shot at winning in the next five years. maybe Ottawa...lol. Leafs suck.

Will you people get off that "Leafs have a psychological edge over the Sens" crapola that keeps popping up whenever there is nothing positive looming on the Leaf horizon? That is just so much drivel. Even that 4-0 series took two overtimes and two one-goal games. By bringing that garbage up repeatedly, the more exasperated among the so-called Leaf Nation are simply reaching for any positive they can hang their hat on. If you want history in the playoffs, simply look at the complete mastery the Habs have held over the Leafs in the 40 years since TO last won the cup. But that has no more bearing on today than do the Leaf wins over the Senators. For one thing, the rosters are almost completely different so the only common factors are the uniforms. Big frikken deal. Arguments and opinions are fine, and fun to debate, but drop that baloney (leave it to Bill Watters who just destroyed any shred of credibility he may have had left as a hockey observer when he mentioned it the other night).
