Can the Raptors improve this season? Mon, October 29, 2007
The Toronto Raptors were one of the success stories of the NBA last season, capturing their first ever Atlantic Division title with a 47-35 record.
With the majority of their roster intact, expectations will be lofty heading into this season.
With training camp underway and the start of the regular season a month away, what are your thoughts on the Raptors chances for playoff success this season? Can they improve on their record from a year ago? Have your say in our forum.
Bosh: playoff success or bust

Well to the last comment I care about the NBA. All the mindless followers of a league as bad as the NHL are just a bunch of suckers watching an inferior sports product.

Wow Russ! That is a brilliant observation! That is why they are called the TORONTO Raptors, and not the CANADA Raptors! However, as pointed out by others here, there are plenty of Raptor fans in all parts of the nation. So if you don't like it, don't post here --- go back to watching the other sports on TV (NFL, CFL, poker, bull riding, bunjee jumping, bowling, etc) and ignore us while we watch true entertainment

Who cares? The NBA sucks and the Raptors are not "Canada's team".

They now have one of the deepest benches in the league. the addition of Kapano have given them that outside threat which will open down low for the other guys. 53 wins and Atlantic champs again.

Jim F, you're an idiot. There are lots of Raps fans out west. Go Raps go from Prince George BC

Their starting five is vastly more talented than last years so that alone will help them get off to a good start each game. Than following that is many of last years starting 5 coming off the bench. Deep teams win in the long grind of back to back games of a long NBA season. I see at least 52 wins, Delfino having a breakout year and the Celtics wondering what went wrong!

I love the addition of Kapono. I think he'll be nice fit with the Raptors.

I'm from Calgary, AB and I love the Raps.. I get a lot of grief from friends as they are all into hockey. But I'll never miss a televised Raptor game.
They have improved.. a lot. even with the loss of Morris Peterson, they have added 3 strong players in Jason Kapono, Carlos Delfino, and Jamario Moon. Maceo Baston will be a nice addition down low as well. I think Moon will be a big surprise this year. 50 wins? maybe, but for sure over 40. Atlantic Title? I think so. I can't wait to get this season started!
