Who should be the Leafs' No.1 goalie? Wed, October 3, 2007
Andrew Raycroft was happy, Vesa Toskala was not. It was pretty clear who got the starting assignment in goal for Wednesday night's Toronto Maple Leafs season opener against the rival Ottawa Senators, even if head coach Paul Maurice refused to confirm it after the pre-game skate at Air Canada Centre.
"It's really not a big deal to either one of us, obviously it's nice to be playing," said Raycroft, before adding a kicker: "At least I'll be getting one game in this year."
You can throw both leaf goalies in the net at the same time it still wont matter. This goalie situation is going to make the leafs even worse.

Dangerous move, they gave up draft picks and a large salary for Toskala to be #1, now thet sit him......the second guessing at M.L.S. starts before the puck drops !!!

I would get rid of both goalies, save 6 million bucks and just put a pilon across the net.

I don't think it matters, they need to change their defence and front office before anything good will ever happen in Toronto. It is tough being a Leafs fan - but at least we are conditioned to their mediocrity. At least with the team as it is, I am not distracted by the playoffs when golf season comes around.

Toss a coin, it is irrelevant the result will be the same.

Who really cares when the Maplelaughs suck so bad. They have bigger problems than who is starting in net.
